Basic Course

Our two-day seminar provides a comprehensive introduction to MATLAB – starting with the development environment on data types and simple visualization capabilities to initial programming topics such as functions and flow structures. Throughout the course, certain features of MATLAB are covered. The main functions are explained and demonstrated in practical exercises.

  • 2 Days
  • Seminar
  • Up to 12 Participants

The participants learn how to work with the development environment and program their first scripts and functions in MATLAB.

Content Focus

  • Development Environment
  • Basics (Vectors, Matrices, Etc.)
  • The m-Editor
  • Container Data Types (Structures, Etc.)
  • Flow Control
  • Functions
  • Basic I/O Functions
  • Graphics In 2D
  • Graphics In 3D
  • Interpolation, Approximation And Filtering

Intended Audience

The seminar is intended for (future) MATLAB users with little or no previous knowledge.

Requirements

Programming skills are an advantage but not a requirement.

Advanced Course Programming

In this seminar, further programming topics such as IO functions, regular expressions, and the creation of graphical user interfaces (GUIs) will be discussed. Particular emphasis is placed on the efficient programming and software development with MATLAB are taught. The MATLAB Compiler is presented briefly.

  • 2 Days
  • Seminar
  • Up to 12 Participants

Participants will gain a deeper insight into programming in MATLAB. The focus is on the efficient use of MATLAB as a programming language and a development and code-design tool.
