Description
This training provides you with a comprehensive introduction to Dependent Failure Analysis (DFA) in the context of functional safety according to ISO26262. It is aimed at functional safety engineers and targets reducing apprehension towards analyzing dependent failures.
Interactive learning is at the center of the training, with the basics and principles of DFA being practically conveyed. You will develop the method for demonstrating independence and freedom from interference. You will learn which types of failures (Common Cause Failures – CCF or Cascading Failures – CascF) are relevant to decompositions or coexistence. Furthermore, you will find out which measures need to be integrated into the safety concept to reduce the risks of dependent failures to an acceptable level.
Through practical exercises and illustrative examples, you will be able to immediately apply the theoretical content to your projects.
Your benefit
Participants of the training acquire a practical understanding of Dependent Failure Analysis through group work and interactive methods. Guided by a case study, you will be led through the process of analyzing dependent failures, gaining a holistic overview of the concepts and possibilities for application.
After the seminar, participants will be capable of identifying, assessing, and developing appropriate strategies to minimize failure-dependent risks. You can actively contribute to the creation and optimization of safety-related concepts and integrate and optimize the principles of DFA into your own project workflows.
