An international software and systems engineering company with a firm grasp of development methods, ITK covers the entire range of tech from embedded systems to cloud computing and artificial intelligence. Customers at home and abroad in sectors ranging from automotive, industrial, and railway engineering to medical systems, agricultural/ construction machinery, and motorsports enjoy the benefits of our tailor-made consultancy and development services. Today, approximately 1,150 employees across 10 locations in Germany and 4 additional locations worldwide bring more than 30 years of expertise to the table.

A 486 DX 4 processor, 8 MB of RAM, and an 80 MB hard disk – those specs would hardly elicit a smile today, but they were state of the art when ITK was founded in 1994. Equipped with a small computer and a great passion for technical cybernetics, Michael founded ITK in a basement office in Kuhardt with the vision of instilling intelligence in machines.
Since the early 2000s, ITK has been steadily expanding beyond the Palatinate region: Starting with a few additional locations in Germany, the company gradually developed a network of subsidiaries in European and international markets. In 2017, ITK became part of the Bosch Group, and in 2024, the company celebrated its 30th anniversary.

The time has come for us to look for a strategic partner in a highly competitive market. With Bosch, we will be able to better position our core competencies on the international market. What’s more, we can also better exploit growth opportunities, particularly through digitalization, and play an even more active role in shaping the market across all sectors.
Michael Englert, commenting on the sale of the company to Bosch
