The basics of TargetLink

Duration: 2 days

Participants: up to 12 people

Location: virtual or in person

Cost: on request

Visualization of various data blocks with dependencies.

This training provides practical teaching on the basic of automated production code generation using dSPACE TargetLink. It looks at the model-based development process – from modeling and code generation through to software testing. Some of the generator’s key functions and configuration options are also shown using typical application scenarios.

Objective and training content

After completing this training, participants will be able to prepare Simulink models for automated code generation using TargetLink, and to systematically test the C code that is generated. They will understand the main principles of model-based serial code generation, and be able to confidently use TargetLink’s functions and structure the development process from modeling through to validation.

Training content:

  • The basics of generating production code using TargetLink
  • Preparing Simulink models for code generation
  • TargetLink libraries and how to use them
  • Configuring the code generator and code properties
  • Integrating TargetLink into the model-based development process
  • Generating, analyzing and interpreting C code
  • Validating and testing the generated code
  • Practical exercises involving the use of the TargetLink workflow

The content of the training can be tailored to your project-specific requirements and questions.
