This training provides foundation-level knowledge on how to work with Stateflow – a graphical tool for developing reactive logic within Simulink. The focus is on designing systems that react to events, time-related conditions or external input signals.
After completing the training, participants will be able to create, simulate and test Stateflow models themselves. They will understand the principles of reactive logic, as well as how to use states and transitions. They will also be familiar with the principles of hierarchical and parallel state models, and be able to integrate them into existing Simulink projects.
Training content:
Introduction to Stateflow and how it interacts with Simulink
Modeling reactive systems
Finite-state machines: their organization, structure and behavior
Hierarchical and parallel state models
Transitions, states, events and conditions
Using actions and functions in Stateflow
Integrating Stateflow models into Simulink projects
Simulation and bug analysis
Application using practice-oriented modeling exercises
The content of the training can be tailored to your project-specific requirements and questions.
Target audience
This training is intended for engineers and software developers who require an introduction to Stateflow or would like to brush up on the basics. They already work with Simulink, and wish to model logical dependencies and reactive systems using finite-state machines.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink is required.
