The basics of Stateflow

Duration: 1 day

Participants: up to 12 people

Location: virtual or in person

Cost: on request

Visualization of various data blocks with dependencies.

This training provides foundation-level knowledge on how to work with Stateflow – a graphical tool for developing reactive logic within Simulink. The focus is on designing systems that react to events, time-related conditions or external input signals.

Objective and training content

After completing the training, participants will be able to create, simulate and test Stateflow models themselves. They will understand the principles of reactive logic, as well as how to use states and transitions. They will also be familiar with the principles of hierarchical and parallel state models, and be able to integrate them into existing Simulink projects.

Training content:

  • Introduction to Stateflow and how it interacts with Simulink
  • Modeling reactive systems
  • Finite-state machines: their organization, structure and behavior
  • Hierarchical and parallel state models
  • Transitions, states, events and conditions
  • Using actions and functions in Stateflow
  • Integrating Stateflow models into Simulink projects
  • Simulation and bug analysis
  • Application using practice-oriented modeling exercises

The content of the training can be tailored to your project-specific requirements and questions.
