This one-day training offers a practical introduction to functional safety. It makes the subject less daunting and provides a basic understanding of safety-oriented development. Relevant standards such as ISO 26262 (automotive), IEC 61508 (industry), ISO 13849 (machinery) or ISO 25119 (agricultural machinery) are taken into consideration depending on the professional context. Interactive exercises and discussions highlight the underlying principles and their application in various different industries.

Objective and training content

After completing the training, participants understand the basic principles of functional safety and their significance for development projects. They can help analyze hazards and risks, contribute to the development of fundamental safety concepts, and reflect on the functional safety of existing processes.
