Basic Course

Our two-day seminar provides a comprehensive introduction to MATLAB – starting with the development environment on data types and simple visualization capabilities to initial programming topics such as functions and flow structures. Throughout the course, certain features of MATLAB are covered. The main functions are explained and demonstrated in practical exercises.

  • 2 Days
  • Seminar
  • Up to 12 Participants
  • Trainings: 2019, July 16-17 (Stuttgart), 2019, Oct. 15-16 (Stuttgart)
  • Training fee: 1.240,00 €

The participants learn how to work with the development environment and program their first scripts and functions in MATLAB.

Content Focus

  • Development Environment
  • Basics (Vectors, Matrices, Etc.)
  • The m-Editor
  • Container Data Types (Structures, Etc.)
  • Flow Control
  • Functions
  • Basic I/O Functions
  • Graphics In 2D
  • Graphics In 3D
  • Interpolation, Approximation And Filtering

Intended Audience

The seminar is intended for (future) MATLAB users with little or no previous knowledge.

Programming skills are an advantage but not a requirement.

Advanced Course Programming

In this seminar, further programming topics are discussed, such as object-oriented programming (OOP), IO functions, anonymous functions, regular expressions and software development issues. Special emphasis is placed on efficient programming.
