SPICE Basic Course

SPICE (Software Process Improvement and Capability Determination), or ISO/IEC 15504, has established itself as an international standard for improving business processes and determining process capability, and forms the foundation for conducting process assessments.

Participants in the one-day seminar gain insights into the standard and its components. Particular attention is paid to the normative second part of SPICE, which defines the requirements for conducting an assessment. The components of a process assessment model are explored in depth. A sample assessment is conducted using an example from the automotive industry, from the point of view of both the interviewee and the assessor.

After the seminar participants will be able to:

  • Begin preparing an assessment
  • Interpret assessment results
  • Draw conclusions for process improvement
